Every practice documents patient clinical history differently through a variety of formats - notes, questionnaires, letters, reports, forms. In Halaxy, all of these are recorded as clinical notes. If your practice requires or regularly uses certain formats, Halaxy offers clinical templates to standardise and speed up your clinical work.
In Halaxy, there are two kinds of clinical templates: clinical note templates and clinical tools.
This table below explains their differences and what they are used for.

Available template features: These tabs contain other template-related features you can use in your practice:
-
Questions: This tab is where you create reusable questions that can be added to multiple clinical tools (e.g. forms and questionnaires). Data collected from the Questions feature can be tracked using the Dashboard.
-
Favourites: This tab is where you bookmark your most frequently used templates and organise them according to groups. Your Favourites appear on a side panel in your clinical notes.
-
Dashboard: This tab is where you set up your clinical dashboard to track patient health data, based on answers collected from the Questions feature. You can create a standard dashboard for your entire practice group, but individual practitioners can also set up their own dashboards.
-
Data sets: This tab is where you set up reusable sets of answers that can be used for the Questions feature. For example: a scale of 1 to 10 for questionnaires.
-
Drugs: This tab is where you add custom records of drugs that are currently not available in the PBS or Private prescription database. Adding custom drugs to your practice eliminates the repetitive task having to manually enter their details every time you prescribe.

New template button: Click this button to import or create your own clinical note template or clinical tool.
