When used in clinical notes, dynamic data lets you insert relevant and up-to-date clinical data about your patients. Dynamic data can be:
-
The latest overall score from a questionnaire
-
A score from a specific section in a clinical tool
-
Answers to specific questions used in templates, intake forms or the patient profile
Similar to dynamic terms, dynamic data speeds up your clinical workflow by providing and personalising the information you need instantly.
-
Open the clinical note.
-
In the note editor, put the cursor where you want to add the data.
-
On the note toolbar, click Dynamic Data and select the dynamic data term. You can add as many terms as needed.
-
When you're finished, publish the note. (Next to the Save button, click the down arrow, then click Publish.)
When you publish the note, the dynamic data terms automatically convert to the actual data.
Note
If the score or answer has been recorded multiple times, the dynamic data converts to the most recent score or answer at the time of publishing.
Is your dynamic data showing the wrong data or not converting at all? Refer to the table below to ensure that your dynamic data terms are populating the correct data.
