Snippets are reusable content that you can quickly insert into your clinical notes or clinical note templates. Using snippets saves you time and keeps your practice's records consistent.

Note
Any snippets added to your clinical settings are available for use in your practice group.

Click Settings > Clinical, then click the Snippets tab.

In the top right, click Add New Snippet.

In the pop-up, configure the following:

Title (required): A name for your snippet.

Description: A brief description of the content of your snippet.

Content: Enter the content of your snippet. You can format your text, insert dynamic terms and add images.

Click Save.
Your snippet has been created and is ready for use.
Snippets can be used in clinical notes and clinical note templates.

Open a clinical note (from the patient profile) or a clinical note template (in Settings > Clinical).

Click in the content editor and move the cursor to where you want to insert the snippet.

On the editor toolbar, click Snippets. (Note: This option is not visible if you do not have any snippets yet.)

Select the name of the snippet you want to insert.
The snippet content is inserted into your editor.

Click Settings > Clinical, then click the Snippets tab.

In the list, click the snippet you want to edit.

In the pop-up, make your changes to the snippet.

Click Save.
Your snippet has been edited.
Note
Editing a snippet does not edit any instances where it was previously inserted. Any edits to your snippet only affect new snippet inserts, not existing ones.
To remove a snippet from selection, you can delete it or archive it.

Click Settings > Clinical, then click the Snippets tab.

In the list, click the snippet you want to edit.

In the pop-up:

To delete the snippet, click Delete.

To archive the snippet, for Status, select Archived, then click Save.

The snippet is no longer in the Snippets list selection for clinical notes or clinical note templates.
