Search on Halaxy

The Halaxy search bar appears at the top of every page in Halaxy and allows you to quickly search for patients, invoices, professional contacts, and organisations. Knowing how to use this search bar can save time and increase your efficiency.

Use the search bar in Halaxy

  1. First, select what you are looking for in the dropdown.

  2. Type what you’re looking for in the search bar. If the record exists, click the record you’re looking for in the dropdown that appears.

  3. The results conveniently display in a panel with ready-to-go actions, allowing you to quickly contact patients, email invoices or jump to a relevant record.

Search for a patient

The user enters part of a name into the search bar and selects a result. The profile is displayed.

  1. In the dropdown, select Patient.

  2. In the search bar, type the name of the patient. If you use custom patient numbering, you can also search by custom number.

  3. If the patient exists, click the patient’s name appearing in the dropdown.

  4. The patient’s record displays in the panel where you can quickly view the patient’s personal details, number of appointments, fee balance and claims and referrals. Actions you can take include:

    • Click on the patient’s mobile number or email address to quickly contact them.

    • Click on the last or next appointment dates to view details of those appointments.

    • Update the patient’s claim and referral details.

    • Add or update the patient’s primary contact.

    • Click the Icon-Export.svg icon to open the patient’s full profile in a new tab.

    • Click the Icon-Tasks.svg tasks icon to create a task related to this patient.

    • Click the Icon-Plus.svg plus icon to book an appointment for this patient.

    • Click the Icon-Bubble.svg speech icon to view the SMS messaging history with this patient.

    • Click the Icon-Mail.svg email icon to view the email history with this patient.

Search for an invoice

  1. In the dropdown, select Invoice.

  2. In the search bar, you can search by invoice number, patient name or organisation.

  3. If the record/s exist, click the record that appears in the dropdown.

  4. The invoice preview displays in the panel where you can quickly view a summary of the invoice. Actions you can take include:

    • Click the patient’s name to view their full profile.

    • Click the Icon-Export.svg icon to open the invoice in a new tab.

    • Click the Icon-Tasks.svg tasks icon to create a task related to this invoice.

    • Click the Icon-Printer.svg printer icon to print this invoice.

    • Click the Icon-Mail.svg email icon to email this invoice.

Search for a professional contact or organisation

  1. In the dropdown, select Professional Contact or Organisation.

  2. In the search bar, type the professional contact’s or organisation name.

  3. If the record/s exist, click the record that appears in the dropdown.

  4. A preview displays in the panel where you can quickly view a summary of the professional contact or organisation. Actions you can take include:

    • Click the Icon-Export.svg icon to open the record in a new tab.

    • Click the Icon-Tasks.svg tasks icon to create a task related to this record.
