Update names in Halaxy

Who can do this?

  • All users and access levels: can update own name

  • Clinical Access and Full Access: can update other users' names

Your name appears in your directory profile listing and can be added to invoices, reminders, templates, and clinical notes using dynamic terms.

Edit your own name

  1. On the sidebar, click Personal > Profile.

  2. In the top right, click Edit.

  3. Update your name.

  4. Click Save Profile.

Edit another user's name in your group

If you have Clinical Access and Full Access, you can update other users’ names within your practice group.

To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. On the sidebar, click Personal > Profile.

  2. On the top right, click Practitioner and select the user.

  3. In the top right, click Edit.

  4. Update the user's name.

  5. Click Save Profile.

Edit your practice group name

The name of your practice group appears in your online directory listing and can appear on invoices using the dynamic term [Practice Name].

To update the name of your practice group, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Settings > General.

  2. Under the Group Settings section, click Edit.

  3. For Group Name, update your practice group name.

  4. Click Save.


If you don't want other users to edit the group name, you can tick the Restricted Admin setting for their access level. This allows them to view the Settings > General page, but not make changes.
