For basic pricing, you can set prices for your fees, select how tax is applied and enter rebate amounts.
Halaxy also provides a pricing block feature for variable pricing, allowing you to charge different amounts for the same fee. Pricing blocks can be used for a variety of reasons, such as:
-
Practitioners or locations in your practice group charge different rates for the same fee
-
To implement a price increase without affecting past invoices
-
To archive a fee for specific practitioners or locations.
Tip
Fee prices can be edited anytime in the Fees List or in individual invoices. If you are using any Halaxy preset fees, any price changes can be imported when available. Related article: Edit and automatically update fees
When you add a fee, you can set its pricing under the Pricing section. See below for a guide in setting the price for fees.
-
Amount: The price you charge for this fee.
-
Tax Rule: Select one of the options. (Note: Your tax rate is automatically set according the base country in your group settings.)
-
No tax: Tax is not paid on this fee. (Amount and Total are the same.)
-
Tax Included: The base price of the fee already includes tax. (Amount and Total are the same.)
-
Tax Additional: Tax is added on top of the base price of the fee. (Total will be higher than Amount.)
-
Manual: Enter the tax rate you want to apply. (Manual tax is applied as Tax Additional.)
-
-
Rebate: The rebate you receive for this fee from the funding body. For third-party billing, this is the amount paid by the third party.
-
Status: Select Current to make the fee available for selection in appointments. Select Archive to remove it from selection.
-
Fee Visibility: Select if you want to show or hide this fee in your online bookings page.
When you are finished, click Save Fee.
Tip
Charging a gap payment? Simply edit the Amount value, so that Amount is equal to the Rebate plus the gap amount. (Don't edit the Rebate value!)
Note
When you process a Medicare, bulk bill or DVA claim, Medicare will pay the scheduled amount no matter what you set in the rebate field.
You can add pricing blocks to create variable pricing settings for a single fee.
