Customise your patient profiles

Every practice has different preferences for the type of information you want to see in a patient's profile. You can customise the information that appears on patient profiles to include any data you choose, including custom fields and clinical questions. For example, you may wish to include a patient's blood type or marital status as part of their profile.

By adding data fields to the default profile, you modify patient profiles to better suit your clinical needs.

The questions you can add to patient profiles can be reused from any existing clinical tool templates your practice uses.

Customise the patient profile

You can add more information to Halaxy's default patient profiles by following the steps below:

  1. Click Settings > General.

  2. Under the Patient Settings section, next to Customised patient profiles, click the Icon-Edit.svg edit icon.

  3. The patient overview page appears. Enter a question or data field you want to add. (If the question already exists in your Halaxy, you can select it from the drop-down menu that appears as you type. If not, add it as a new question.)

The page to add custom data/questions to profiles. The user is adding Marital Status.
  4. (Optional) To re-order questions, click and drag the Icon-Arrows.svg icons beside each question. You can also archive questions or restore previously archived questions.

The user clicks-and-drags the sort icon to rearrange the custom questions
  5. Click Save.

Your patient profiles and intake forms now include your custom fields.

If you selected the option to add the question as a new question, you will be prompted to choose the answer type and the data set for possible answers. Please see Clinical Questions and for more detail on how to create a question. You may need to add your own data sets.
