Who can do this?
-
Practitioners only (eligible professions)
-
Practitioners with complete requirements for e-scripts
By default, e-scripts are sent with eRx, Australia's central platform for electronic prescriptions. Getting medication is now easier than ever for your patients with Halaxy integrations with online pharmacies.
With Evermed or Chemist2U, your patients can:
-
Instantly receive their prescriptions by email or SMS
-
Seamlessly order their medication online from the e-script link
-
Quickly get their medication delivered to their doorstep
-
Conveniently save time and costs of going to the pharmacy
No setup required! Sending e-scripts via Evermed and Chemist2U are seamlessly integrated in the prescription process.
Note
Publishing an electronic prescription (e-script) costs 1 credit added to the prescription order. Credits are only charged for successful transactions. There is no extra charge for sending e-scripts via Evermed or Chemist2U.
-
Open the patient profile and click the Clinical Notes tab.
-
When publishing the prescription, for Prescription Delivery Method, select Evermed or Chemist2U.
-
To finalise, confirm your password (and make sure you have Halaxy credits), then click Publish. (This button will only be enabled when token receipt details are filled, and password is confirmed.)
Your patient receives an email or SMS from the selected online pharmacy with a link to their prescription.
From the link, they can create or log in to their account to order their medication for delivery.
If you always send your e-scripts via Evermed or Chemist2U, you can opt to permanently keep the option selected.
-
Click Settings > General.
-
Under the Template Settings section, next to Prescription settings, click the
pencil icon.
-
In the pop-up, for Prescription Delivery, retain the provider you want to keep as the default for e-scripts.
-
Click Save.
Any delivery method not added will not be available for selection when issuing e-scripts.
