Set a patient to private mode

Who can do this?

Full Access practitioners only

Privacy is crucial when you are storing personal information and sensitive clinical records in a patient's profile. Patients can be set to private mode, allowing only the practitioners who are treating a patient - or given shared access - to view the patient's profile, find them in the Patient List, and select them for appointments.

When a patient is on private mode, their name is anonymised on Halaxy for other users without access (such as on reports).

Note

Administrators have no access to patients on private mode, including booking them for appointments.

Restrict access to a patient

  1. Open the patient's profile.

  2. Under the Practitioner Access & Privacy section, click Edit.

  3. At the top of the pop-up, toggle the switch Private mode.

  4. Click Save.

This patient can now be accessed only by practitioners listed in the Practitioner Relationships & Privacy section. This is indicated by a lock icon on the patient's profile.
