When you send reminders to patients, you can include a link for them to add their appointment details to their personal calendars. With that, patients can be mindful of upcoming appointments, reducing no-shows and avoiding schedule conflicts.
Tip
Does your practice use online bookings? The Add to Calendar link can also be inserted into booking confirmation emails.

Click Settings > Reminders.

Under the Templates section, click the
pencil icon for the reminder type you want to edit.

For SMS Template:

In the editor, move the cursor to where you want to add the link.

Under Dynamic Terms, click + Add to Calendar to insert the link.

(Optional) Click Preview to view your character count and credit estimate.

For Email Template:

In the editor, move the cursor to where you want to add the link.

On the toolbar, click Dynamic Terms and select Add to Calendar to insert the link.

Click Save.
When you send reminders using this template, the Add to Calendar link appears in the reminder. Patients can click this link to add their appointment details to their device calendars.
Note
The [Add To Calendar] dynamic term only populates in appointment reminders and online booking confirmation emails because they are linked to specific appointments. This term does not populate in one-off emails and SMS.
