Prescribe a custom drug

Practitioners only (eligible professions)

If a certain drug is not available in the PBS or Private drug database, you can create it as a custom drug then prescribe it to patients.

You must first create the custom drug in your Clinical settings before you can add it to a prescription.

Add a custom drug to a prescription

Create a prescription (e-script, paper or paper eRx) as normal.
When adding a drug to the prescription, select Custom. Your list of custom drugs appears.
Select your custom drug and proceed with the prescription process.

To be able to create prescriptions, Prescriptions and Order Requests must be enabled in your access level settings.
