Verify your Medicare Location ID

A Medicare Location ID allows Medicare to identify your practice location as a Halaxy software user.

You are required to have an active and verified Location ID for your practice location/s to be able to:

After you have requested a Medicare Location ID and it has been activated, you must verify it before you can perform any of the actions listed above.

Note

Verifying a Medicare Location ID only needs to be performed once.

Verify a Medicare Location ID

You verify your Location ID by successfully verifying a patient's Medicare or DVA card details. (You can do this for any patient who has Medicare or DVA card details entered in their profile.)

You can perform a quick verification in any of these areas:

Patient profile (Funding)

  1. Go to any patient's profile and click the Funding tab.

  2. Under the Claims and Referrals section, click the relevant funding body (Medicare or DVA) to expand it.

  3. Click the Icon-Unverified.svg Unverified icon next to the card number for the patient.

  4. Once the patient's details are verified, the icon will change to a Icon-Verified.svg Verified icon.

Invoice

  1. Open a patient invoice.

  2. Click the Icon-Unverified.svg Unverified icon next to the card number for the patient.

  3. Once the patient's details are verified, the icon will change to a Icon-Verified.svg Verified icon.

Appointment

  1. Open a patient appointment.

  2. Click the Icon-Unverified.svg Unverified icon next to the card number for the patient.
