In some practices, you may need to block out time in between appointments for a variety of reasons: clean-ups, preparation, or even just a break. You can specify buffer time between appointments, during which other appointments cannot be made.
You can nominate a buffer time between appointments in your online booking preferences.
Note
Buffer time applies only to patient appointments. When creating personal appointments, you must manually include buffer time.

Click Personal > Locations.

Under the practice location and relevant practitioner. Next to Online Bookings and Profile Preferences, click the
pencil icon.

Under the Online Bookings section, for + Buffer time, enter the number of minutes you want added to each appointment as a buffer.

Click Save.
Your online booking time slots now adjust so that appointments cannot be made within the specified buffer time.
Note
Buffer time also applies to the end of the day, so make sure that you set your work hours to end after the buffer time of your last appointment.
