If you enabled two-way reminders for your practice, patients can respond to SMS reminders to confirm or cancel their appointments.
Note
To enable two-way SMS messaging, you must subscribe for a dedicated phone number.
If an appointment has two-way SMS reminders, the patient’s response updates the appointment status in your calendar.
Appointments with two-way reminders have their timeslots colour-coded according to the following:
Colour |
Appointment Status |
Red |
Rejected The patient sent a negative response (N or No). |
Amber |
Check Response or Pending The patient sent an ambiguous response that was neither Y / Yes or N / No. Check the patient's response. |
Yellow |
Booked An SMS reminder has been sent, but no reply has been received yet. |
Green |
Confirmed or Attended The patient sent an affirmative response (Y or Yes). |
Note
You can also manually change the appointment status on the calendar.
