Overview

Being instantly visible, patient alerts are helpful to quickly notify practitioners and administrative staff on important information when dealing with specific patients.

Some examples include:

  • Difficult patients: People who have been banned from a practice or are prone to violence.

  • Difficult situations: A parental custody dispute may affect appointment bookings or invoice payments.

  • Special needs: Patients who may need extra assistance whenever they visit the practice.

  • Quick reminders: Any reminders relating to the patient - such as specific questions to ask, return items they forgot at your location, etc.

You can add up to 3 alerts per patient.

Note

The maximum length of a patient alert is 1024 characters.

  1. Open the patient's profile.

  2. In the top right of the profile, click Edit.

  3. In the profile form, for Alert, enter the text for the alert, then select the Alert Colour for the alert icon.
