Migrate your practice data from Helix

Bring your Helix clinical records with you, from patient details to clinical notes and documents.

Halaxy's data migration service moves your practice information from Helix to Halaxy. All you need to do is export your files from Helix and send them to the Halaxy Data Migrations team.

For a full overview of the data migrations process, see: Migrate your practice to Halaxy

Before you start

What you can import from Helix

Helix exports one XML file for each patient, and everything comes from those files. Helix exports clinical records only, so appointments, invoices and referrals aren't included. The export is several gigabytes, so allow time for the upload.

File

What it adds to Halaxy

PatientXml folder (one XML file for each patient)

Patient details, consult notes, clinical summaries, pathology requests, Medicare and DVA claims, and documents and letters as patient attachments

Export and send your Helix files

  1. In Helix, export your full patient data, then unzip the export so there is one XML file for each patient.

    Note

If you need help exporting your data from Helix, check Helix's knowledge base or contact Helix customer support.

  2. Keep your files as Helix exports them, without renaming or editing them, then compile them into a single zip file.

  3. Log into your Halaxy account. On the sidebar, click Settings > General.

  4. Under the Data Import section, click Import Your Data.
