Set up single sign-on (SSO)

Who can do this?

Account owners only

Single sign-on (SSO) lets practitioners and administrators log in to Halaxy using the credentials your organisation already manages, so there's no separate password to remember. When someone signs in, Halaxy redirects them securely to your identity provider for verification, then logs them straight in.

This gives you:

  • Less password fatigue for your team

  • Stronger security for your practice

  • Consistent access across the board.

As an administrator, you also get centralised control, with authentication settings and user management all in one place.

Notice

Halaxy's single sign‑on currently supports Entra ID via the OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocol for authentication. Support for additional identity providers will be available in the future.

Requirements for SSO setup

  • Halaxy account with account owner permission

  • Entra ID tenant with permission to create or manage enterprise applications

Configure single sign-on with Microsoft Entra ID

NOTE: Before proceeding, have both Halaxy and Entra ID open on different browser tabs as the setup will involve switching between the two platforms.
