Who can do this?
Practitioners: Full Access
Your patient clinical records may contain sensitive or confidential information, which requires strict privacy controls. Restricting a clinical note means it can only be viewed by the note's owner and people the note is shared with.
-
Open the clinical note.
-
In the clinical note title bar, click the down arrow, then click Restrict.
-
In the pop-up, click Restrict to confirm.
The clinical note is now restricted and can only be viewed by the note's owner and anyone the note is shared with.
To view the list of users who can view a restricted note, click Restricted privacy.
If you would like your clinical note to be viewed by anyone in your practice with clinical access to your patient, you can remove the clinical note restriction.
-
Open the clinical note.
-
In the clinical note title bar, click the down arrow, then click Remove Restriction.
-
In the pop-up, click Remove Restriction.
The clinical note can now be viewed by anyone with clinical access to your patient.
