Argus is a secure messaging service for health practitioners operated by Telstra. It is compliant with Australian privacy standards and can be integrated directly into Halaxy.
In order to send secure messages in Halaxy, you must be set up in Halaxy as a practitioner, not an administrator.
Tip
In order to use secure messaging, both the sender and receiver are required to use the same messaging provider. By signing up for both ReferralNet and Argus, this increases your ability to send messages securely.
You can sign up to Argus and link your Argus account to your Halaxy in the following way:
-
Click Settings > Integrations.
-
In the Secure Message Delivery section, click the Edit icon next to Argus.
-
If this is the first time a user in your group has set up Argus:
-
If you have an existing account: Click Yes. Enter your Username and Password and click Save.
-
If you do not have an existing account: Click No and contact our support line on 1800 984 334 or email us at community@halaxy.com to obtain a promotional code which can be entered when you register with Argus. Then click the link in the Halaxy pop-up, which takes you to the Argus page to register. You will need to wait for approval from Argus, which can take up to three or four days. If you have not heard back from Argus, contact them to let them know you have registered as a Halaxy user. When the account is enabled, the status changes from Waiting for Approval to Active.
-
-
With your group now set up, you now need to connect your individual Argus and Halaxy accounts (see below).
If you have any questions regarding registration, call Argus on 1800 432 584.
If you are part of a group practice, once your group has connected their group Argus account, you must set up your individual account. To do so:
-
Click Settings > Integrations.
-
In the Secure Message Delivery section, click the Edit icon next to Argus.
-
Select Use Existing Account for the individual practitioner and enter the same username and password that was used to register the group. This can be used for each practitioner. You can also click Validate Login to verify that your username and password are correct once the connection status is Active.
-
Click Save.
RESULT: The individual practitioner can now send clinical notes from within their Clinical page using the SMD Argus option for secure message delivery. You can also validate your Argus credentials by clicking Validate Login in the Argus integration pop-up.
Once you have set up Argus or ReferralNet, click the Triangle button on a clinical note and click SMD ReferralNet or SMD Argus to send the clinical note using secure messaging. You will be able to search for a practitioner and select what part of the clinical note you wish to share.
