Patients can request a repeat for any prescription that is shared with them via their Halaxy patient portal. This saves you a significant amount of time from having to visit or even to call your practitioner, who can also approve or decline your request on Halaxy.
When a practitioner decides on your request, you can no longer make another repeat request for that prescription.
On your dashboard, under the My Health Notes section, click the prescription you want a repeat for.
In the prescription details, click Request a Repeat.
In the pop-up, enter a brief explanation on why you are requesting a repeat. (Note: This is a mandatory step.)
You will receive a notification if your practitioner requires more information from you, or if they have approved/declined your request.
When you request a prescription repeat, you can exchange short messages with your practitioner in your request. This is a handy tool if you want to add more details to your initial request, or if your practitioner needs more information from you before they approve or decline.
To manage your request, follow the steps below.
Open the prescription.
Click Repeat Requested to view your request details.
Enter additional details in the message box, then click Send.
You can send a maximum of 3 consecutive messages until your practitioner replies.
