Manage patient communication preferences

All users and access levels

Healthcare practices and practitioners can use Halaxy to communicate via SMS or email for different purposes. Patients may receive appointment reminders, payment invoices, recalls, announcements, or even birthday greetings. However, some patients might have different preferences for what they want to receive from their practitioners.

To change this, you can set a patient's communication preferences in their profile.

Change communication preferences for a patient

  1. Go to the patient's profile.

  2. Under the section Communication & Reminders, next to Communication Preferences, click the Icon-Edit.svg Edit icon.

  3. In the pop-up, select the patient's requested preference option for SMS and/or email:

    • Receive all emails or SMS from our practice: The patient all reminders, campaigns and one-off messages.

    • Only receive account-related emails or SMS: This patient will receive reminders and one-off messages. Campaigns will not be sent.

    • Do not receive any emails or SMS: This patient will not receive any messages from your practice.

  4. In the Notes field, you have the option to add any notes for this patient.

  5. Click Save.
