What is the difference between a clinical note template and a clinical tool?

A clinical note template is a text-based template that is suitable for letters and other text-based documentation. Clinical note templates can include dynamic terms, tables and images.

A clinical tool is is a special type of clinical note that can include forms, questions and annotatable images that you or your patients can fill out. Answers to questions in clinical tools can be tallied and collated, as well as tracked over time using the Clinical Dashboard. Clinical tools can include patient intake or screening forms, questionnaires, diagnostic tools and annotatable images.
