Halaxy has an integrated Online Patient Verification (OPV) or Online Veteran Verification (OVV) process that allows practitioners to verify details with Medicare or DVA - all within the Halaxy platform.
OPV or OVV is performed for any of the following purposes:

Before processing a Medicare or DVA claim for a new patient to ensure their claiming information is correct (optional)

Before processing your first Medicare or DVA claim for a new practice location (required, performed only once)

To verify a Medicare Location ID before requesting access to MediSecure for eScripts (required, performed only once)
The OPV or OVV can be done in any of these three areas:

Go to the patient's profile and click the Funding tab.

Under the Claims and Referrals section, click the relevant funding body (Medicare or DVA) to expand it.

Click the
Unverified icon next to the card number for the patient.

Once the patient's details are verified, the icon will change to a
Verified icon.

Open any invoice relating to the patient.

Unverified icon next to the card number for the patient.

Once the patient's details are verified, the icon will change to a
Verified icon.

Open any appointment for the patient.

Click the
Unverified icon next to the card number for the patient.

Once the patient's details are verified, the icon will change to a
Verified icon.

Go to any of the areas to view a patient's Medicare/DVA details: patient profile, invoice or appointment.

Click the
History icon next to the patient's card number.

A pop-up appears with the verification history of the patient's card details.
Note
The History icon will only appear when the patient's Medicare or DVA details have already been verified.
