Some patients may stop going to your practice for a variety of reasons. You can delete a patient from your patient list, which also removes them from selection for appointments.

You can always restore a deleted patient to your patient list.

Note

If you want to mark a patient as archived or discharged, simply edit their profile and change their patient status accordingly.

Delete a patient

When you set the patient's status as Deleted, their record is removed from the patient list and they can no longer be selected for appointments.

To delete a patient, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the patient profile.

  2. On the top right, click Edit.

  3. For Status, select Deleted.

  4. Click Save.

The patient has been deleted from your patient list.

Restore a deleted patient

To restore a deleted patient, you must first run a patient report to locate them, then change their patient status.

To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Reports > Patient.

  2. On the top right, click New Report.

  3. In the report filters, for Patient Status, select Deleted, then click Run. (Optional: You can narrow down your search results by using the other report filters.)

  4. The report results, click the name of the patient you want to restore to open their profile.

  5. On the top right, click Edit.

  6. For Status, select Current (or any other status you want). Then click Save.

The patient profile is restored to your patient list.
