You can create a quote instead of an invoice to send to a patient or organisation. The process is similar to creating an invoice, except that quotes are denoted as quotes instead of invoices and you can convert the quote into an invoice later.
Quotes can be found in the Invoices list (Finances > Invoices).
To create a quote:
Click Finances > Invoices.
Click New Invoice at the top-right of the page.
In the pop-up, select Quote.
Select whether you want to create a quote for a patient or an organisation, then enter the patient's name or organisation's name in the field below. You will be able to select the patient or organisation from the drop-down menu that appears.
You will be taken to the quote screen. You can add fees and discounts as needed here, just like an invoice. Your standard invoice template is automatically used.
To convert the quote into an invoice, open the quote and click Finalise at the top-right of the page.
