Patients can link their digital health-tracking devices and share data with their practitioners in the patient portal. You can invite a patient to the patient portal from the General page of their patient profile.
Once your patient has created and logged in to their patient portal, they can link their health-tracking device as follows:
On the welcome page, scroll down to Link My Health Device and click Activate Linking.
Click Profile > Accesses.
Click Link Device under My Health Data.
This will open the Validic site through which health-tracking devices are linked to Halaxy. On thesite, the patient can select the desired manufacturer and click Connect. They can then follow the instructions to link the device to their Halaxy account.
With the device now linked, your patient can select what data they share and who they share it with by following the steps below:
In the Profile > Accesses section of the patient portal, scroll down to My Health Data and click Invite at the bottom of the page.
Select the practice to share the data with and the type of data to share from the drop-down menu.
Click Submit to confirm.
Existing connections are listed in the My Health Data section of the patient portal, where patients can revoke a connection by clicking the Edit (pencil) icon and then clicking Revoke.
