The Medicare Card Number entered into Halaxy is incorrect.
The first step is the verify the patient’s Medicare Card Number:
- From the invoice, click on the patient's name in blue in the Client section.
- Click the Funding tab.
- In the Claims & Referrals section, click the Patient Verification icon to the left of the Medicare Card Number.
- If verification is successful, return to the invoice and reprocess the claim. If the verification is not successful, contact the patient to confirm the correct Medicare number or call Medicare.
